Question:
RE: Curt Ball Mount for 2inch Hitches - 3inch Rise, 4inch - 8,000 lbs - Aluminum Item # C84WR. Is the tongue weight rating the same for and rise positons? Does the shaft that goes into the receiver fit good - in other words, is a a loose fit for 2inch receivers that is going to rattle around? I have a 2014 Chevy Siverado with factory hitch. Thanks,

Expert Reply:
The Curt Ball Mount for 2" Hitches part # C84WR has an 8,000 lb weight capacity which is for both rise and drop positions. In regards to fit, this will vary by receiver, some are tighter than others and some are looser. It comes down to both the hitch side and ball mount side. That said, if you're worried about rattle you can add an anti-rattle like the Curt Anti-Rattle Hitch Clamp for 2" Hitches part # C27UR.
