Options If You Have an Unidentified Coupler That Needs a Latch Repair Kit

Question:

What if your not sure of the coupler manufacturer? I have a 30 ft camper looking to buy that the latch needs repaired not sure if its a bulldog or? Is there a universal kit? How do i tell?

There is not a universal latch repair kit. You will need to match the correct latch repair kit to the correct coupler, you cannot use another brand latch repair kit with a different brand coupler. Typically the coupler information is engraved on the coupler.

If you are unable to find the coupler information, you will need to replace the coupler. For that you can use a coupler like the Demco 32-Degree A-Frame Trailer Coupler w/ Jack Hole # DM15633-81. This coupler has an eZ latch style with a jack hole. It is a weld-on coupler and features a 21,000 lb. capacity.
