Comparing Trailer Hitch Options for a 2022 Acura MDX

Question:

Looking at the 3 Hitches you offer for the 2022 Acura MDX which I plan to use to haul 2 bicycles. Is there really any clearance difference between Hitches? By fitting up into the Fascia and requiring cutting to do so it seems like the DrawTite would offer more clearance. But after reviewing the installation videos, all three DrawTite, Curt and eTrailer show a clearance of 14. What am I missing?

The trailer hitch options for a 2022 Acura MDX are all going to be pretty similar. If you'll be towing then I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # DT42MR since it has a built-in bracket for the trailer connector but if you're just going to be using bike racks and cargo carriers I recommend the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e27KR.

The Draw-Tite hitch offers the best ground clearance but this also means you must trim the bumper. That said, ground clearance varies from vehicle to vehicle so the measurements you see in our videos are just a guide.
