Best Anti-Rattle Device For Towing a Trailer Using a 2-1/2 Receiver to 2" Hitch Adapter

Question:
Hello: I have a Ford F350 truck with a 2-1/2inch receiver. When I purchased the travel trailer from the dealer they installed a 2-1/2inch to 2inch reducing sleeve. It has a TON of play. To date Ive bent two cotter pins. I purchased and inexpensive anti rattle device from Harbor Freight, but no matter how tight I crank it down it comes loose. Ive looked at lots of different types of anti rattle devices but not sure what actually works. Thoughts?

The Blue Ox Hitch Receiver Immobilizer III # BX88312 is going to be the best way to eliminate rattle and play from your 2-1/2" receiver with the 2" adapter. This device uses 2 U-Bolts around the hitch to pull it tight into the corner of the receiver tube. It has also been rated for use while towing as often times cheaper anti-rattles are only to be used on hitch mounted accessories.
