Replacement Winch To Replace Discontinued Shelby Model 5400 Single-Speed Winch

Question:

I am trying to fix this winch by dismantling and cleaning it up. It has the one large bolt. Can this bolt come out and is there a sleeve this bolt is running through? Mine is frozen.

Unfortunately since Shelby is out of business, I would not know if the bolt would be able to come out or not, and trying to find replacement parts anywhere is difficult.

I would recommend getting a new winch. The Dutton-Lainson Hand Winch # DL16003, which is very similar to your Shelby 5400 series winch. It also includes a 2 inch wide x 12 foot long strap.

The mounting hardware is not included, so if your current hardware is in bad shape you will need to find the correct mounting hardware at your local hardware store.
