Question:
Im replacing an old motel G6A-6E water heater in my 1990 fleetwood southwind. I want to purchase something that is tankless. What are my options? If I get one that requires electric hook ups will i need to run a new breaker for the water heater. There currently isnt one.

Tankless is definitely the route to go for a replacement water heater. This allows you to have hot water on demand and the RV industry is moving in this direction.
If you use the Excel RV Tankless Water Heater # EX93FR (38,00 Btu), then there is no need to run any electric. This water heater gets its power from 2 D-batteries.
If you went with either the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR (60,000 Btu) or the Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB44FR (41,800 Btu), (needs the # CAM10423 for installation) then you would need to run a line with an inline fuse as noted in installation instructions. There would be no need for a new breaker, because these systems run off of 12v.
The best option for you will depend on your hot water usage, the more you use then the more a larger system will benefit you. I have included some product review video's of these water heaters for you to check out.
It is recommended that water heaters are installed by a qualified technician.
