Question:
What is the proper way to mount and center the tire rim on a five spoke hub on a utllity trailer. When I spin the wheel I can see the tire oscillating move eliptically slightly. Is there a procedure to mount and center the rim perfectly? Thanks

Typically the hub would be dropped into the rim from the rear until it seats on the lip that runs around the inside of the rim. The rim clamps would then be put in place, and evenly tightened to secure the hub to the rim.
If the hub is not seated fully against the rim, and if the clamps were unevenly tightened it would explain the oscillation or wobble you are experiencing. It is also possible that your rim is warped or bent, which would also cause the problem.
