The main difference between a Class III hitch and a Class IV hitch is their capacities. Class III hitches are rated for up to 6,000 lbs GTW with 600 lbs TW whereas a Class IV is rated for up to 12,000 lbs GTW and 1,000 TW.

For your 2020 Buick Envision, I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 76300. This is the highest rated hitch available for your Envision. It has a 4,500 lbs maximum gross trailer weight and a 675 lbs tongue weight capacity. This hitch also has a square tube crossbar that sits completely behind your rear bumper. The only visible portion of this hitch will be the 2" x 2" receiver. The receiver sits 13" above the ground so you won't have to worry about bottoming out like you would with other hitches that hang lower. This hitch will be perfect for using hitch mounted accessories. The pin hole sits 6" from the rear of your bumper to provide you plenty of clearance. I have linked an installation video below.

If you are going to be towing a trailer you will also need a wiring harness item # C59496 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
