Question:
2015 Passat. Will this it kit, kit 5185, work with my 480 Traverse foot set-up? Would like to reuse as much of my old set-up as possible. It seems that kit 1775 which is recommended for my set-up is nla.

Thule changed their roof rack parts, going from the AeroBlade to the WingBar Evo and the parts are not interchangeable; none of the older Thule parts will work with the newer Thule parts, including the kit you asked about for your 2015 Volkswagen Passat.
So while I realize it is not the answer you were looking for, you'd need a new Thule rack for your '15 Passat. You have the right fit kit, and each of the parts needed are the following:
- Thule WingBar Evo Crossbars - Silver # TH711400 or Black # TH711420
- Evo Clamp Feet for Thule Crossbars # TH710501
- Fit Kit for Thule Evo Clamp Roof Rack Feet # TH145185
- (Optional): Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinders # TH450400
