I have 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend with factory hitch and tow package but only came with 4 Pin flat cable connection for brake lights. I just purchased tear trailer that is 1400 dry and 1600 with water tank full. It has trailer brakes but need the correct brake controller installed. Bronco is rated for 2,200 lbs of towing capacity.

The brake controller and wiring I recommend for your 2021 Ford Bronco Sport Big Bend is the Curt Echo # C51180 which requires the 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit # ETBC7L.
The reason I recommend this controller is because it's the least intrusive when it comes to the installation of the wiring plus all of the settings are made through your smart device so you won't have a physical brake controller in your cab (although you can get the Manual Override Button # C83HR if you'd rather use a button than your phone for that).
With this wiring you plug the adapter into your factory 4-Way and then route the included 12V power to the battery on your Bronco Sport - you won't be doing any modification to the inside of your vehicle!
