Question:

I have a 2022 Equinox RS, with existing raised roof rails. Im looking for some crossbars for VERY light use...I see the Malones, square and aero, that are considerably less expensive than the others like Thule. Is there an advantage to the others? Are the aeros a lot less noisy than the square?

Malone is a great economical choice for your light use on your 2022 Chevy Equinox with raised rails.

As far as the Malone AirFlow 2 aero bars and the Malone SteelTop # MPG202, I recommend going with the AirFlow 2 - 58" # MPG216 for a couple reasons. The first is the aerodynamic design. The aeros are definitely less noisy than the square SteelTops. Additionally, the design leads to better increased fuel efficiency. As a final advantage, the AirFlow 2 crossbars have a full-length channel that allows you to attach compatible t-slot accessories.

If you have any clamp-on accessories, you also want to make sure that the clamps on your accessories are compatible with the 3" wide x 1" tall AirFlow 2 crossbars.
