Question:

I have a Equalizer 1200 hitch. I am upgrading to a trailer with a dry weight tongue of 1200 lbs. Although I plan on hauling this with limited supplies and the tanks empty my guess is I will need a 1400 setup. My 1200 already has a 1400 lb rated 2 1/2 shank. Assuming the hitch is in good condition bolts what parts do I need? I have no idea where my left over spacers are.

To upgrade an Equal-i-zer system to 1,400 lb tongue weight spring bars you need a new head like with the Replacement Head for Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution Systems # EQ90-02-1400 as well as higher rated spring bars with the part # EQ90-01-1499 and you'd be set. Everything else you have now can be used again.
