Will the Ultra-Fab Motor Home Trailer Hitch Receiver in the Pictures Be the Same as What is Shipped
Updated 07/14/2022 | Published 07/13/2022 >
Question:
Will shipped item be the same as the description picture? Many of the photos in customer reviews appear to be of a different hitch mount, and not the one pictured. I dont see the additional black flanges that come down in the front and back of the bumper in some photos. These look to add quite a bit of additional security, and offer twice the clamping power for strength. I am looking for a hitch that can be mounted on my Grand Design trailer, but because the bumper is mounted slightly under the body, I will have to go bottom mount. I intend to use it with a 16inch hitch extension that has a stepinch welded to the top that I will use to mount a small 22x14x12 HD plastic toolbox that will hold my sewer tools, rubber gloves, elbow, hose support, and 25foot black water flush hose. All of the stuff that the wife doesnt want in the cargo holds of the trailer. Total weight of the loaded toolbox with the 16inch extension bolted to it is about 35 pounds. This appears to be well within the limits of the mount. I have been doing a lot of research about these type mounts, and have seen many complaints and photos of inferior hardware that breaks, or even complete welds breaking off and the customer lost their cargo. I was really looking for a higher end brand name such as Reese, but the one they make is only available in Australia for some reason, and not able to ship to USA. I cannot find any mention of where this is made, but I assume China? Which is where all of the faulty items that I have researched seem to be from. If it is, it appears to be of better quality, per your review video. Thank you for your attention

Yes, what you see in the pictures for the Ultra-Fab 2" Motor Home Trailer Hitch Receiver # UF35-946401 is what will ship. There was a redesign of this product, some of the photos you are seeing in reviews may be of the previous model. We do our absolute best to keep our product photos up to date with the correct product model.
It is important to note that when you use a hitch extender you will be cutting your tongue weight capacity by 50%. While Ultra-Fab may not be as well known to some, they are a reputable name in the RV industry.
