I have a 2019 2500 Ram with 64inch bed. Buying a 2022 Jayco Eagle 321RSTS. Do I need a slider hitch?

Expert Reply:
We always recommend either a sliding hitch or rotating pin box for any bed lengths under 8' to ensure 90 degree turning clearance. You can still pull your 2022 Jayco Eagle 321RSTS with your 6-1/2' bed but you run the risk of the nose of the 5th wheel coming into contact with the cab of your Ram when making tight turns.
For your 2019 Ram 2500 I recommend the B&W Patriot 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch w/ Slider # BWRVK3270 along with the B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # BWRVK2602. This sliding hitch will give you an additional 12" of turning clearance.
Note: This hitch is not compatible with models that have RamBoxes.
