Question:
I have a 2007 dodge ram 2500 reg cab 4x4 with 5.7 hemi 545rfe auto transmission....the transmission cooling lines run directly to an external trans cooler mounted in front of radiator....no connections to coolant radiator, straight to external trans cooler....would I add a 2nd external cooler or could I use larger, better, single cooler...?

When it comes to installing a transmission cooler on your 2007 Dodge Ram Pickup The Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets - Class III - Efficient # D13503 will be a good choice for your vehicle. I recommend using just one cooler. I would use just one large cooler.
Using this cooler will prolong the life of your transmission and improve its overall performance, specifically designed for Dodge Ram Pickups with late-model, electronic overdrive transmissions. The cooler has furnace-brazed aluminum construction and 3/4 inch wide turbulator plates that offer more efficient cooling.
The Derale Insta-dapt radiator adapter fits most vehicles with 5/16 inch transmission lines, but not all. In some cases additional fittings or alteration of the OEM lines or hoses may be required for installation. This radiator-style, plate-and-fin heat exchanger provides increased surface area so that the fluids can spread out along the finned chambers to cool faster.
I attached an installation video link below.
