Can I Use a 2-1/2" to 2" Hitch Reducer on the Hollywood Racks RV Rider # HLY64FR?

It states that it doesn’t work with 1 1/4 to 2” hitch adapters. We have a 2 1/2” hitch on our Ram 2500, with an adapter to make it 2”. There is still a flange on the adapter which is required. Any problem using the Hollywood RV rider bike rack with our 2 1/2 to 2” hitch adapter?

Great question! I went ahead and reached out to my tech at Hollywood Racks, and he confirmed that using a 2-1/2" to 2" hitch adapter is completely fine to use with the RV Rider # HLY64FR.
If you need a hitch reducer for your 2-1/2" hitch, I recommend using the Curt Hitch Reducer # C45405. This adapter does not add an extension and comes with a 5/8" pin hole diameter. This reducer does not decrease the weight rating of your hitch.
