Question:
Hi eTrailer, Id like a Weight Distributing hitch for my Boat trailer with Surge brakes. I need to make sure the Surge brakes will still work with the hitch. Does eTrailer have any? Just FYI - Yes, my truck is rated for the weight and has a HD Tow package. tongue weight 600-700 lbs Boat and trailer about 5600 lbs thanks for any guidance!

I appreciate all that info, and there is a weight distribution hitch that is compatible with surge brakes and is also rated correctly for your 600 lb to 700 lb tongue weight. For this, I recommend going with an option from Blue Ox:
- Blue Ox 2-Point Weight Distribution w/ Sway Control - 6-Hole Shank - 10K GTW, 800 TW # BLU82XR
I really like the value of the # BLU82XR due to its combination of price and quality that Blue Ox is known for. It even has sway control and comes with everything needed for use, including a 2-5/16" hitch ball.
This system is rated for tongue weights between 600 lbs and 800 lbs, which is perfect for your trailer, as going with a lower-rated system would not give you the proper leveling or sway control, while a system rated higher than that would result in a stiff, bouncy, less controlled ride.
