Question:

I have a shortbed truck 2021 Ford F150, 5.5inch bed. Can I pull a 5th wheel using a slider 5th wheel hitch? will I have to unlock slider even when pulling into gas stations and such? Thanks in advance!

Due to the short bed length your options are greatly limited, but absolutely, pulling a 5th wheel RV with a 2021 Ford F150 and 5-1/2' Bed can be done.

I highly recommend the Demco Hijacker Autoslide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # DM8550040 that provides a full 22-1/2" of additional clearance for tight turns. Slide hitches are commonly used in short bed trucks but most are 12-14" of slide movement. This is the only option I am aware of that provides a full 22-1/2" of movement.
