Question:
I have Two Saturn Vues 2004 and 2006 Front Wheel drive 3.5 engines. Bought Trailer with brakes. Would like to buy the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller - 1 to 2 Axles - Proportional so I can switch from each SUV. I have 4 pin currently on each SUV. There For Need wires and plug in to Saturn Brakes to run back to rear of vehicles. And 4 pin to 7 pin which has 3 wires that need to run to front of vehicle to hook to battery and brakes. Second question Also I was told that you could bypass brakes pedal and hook directly to brake lights? Is that correct or not recommended. Thanks.

As you already have the 4-way flat connectors on your two Saturn Vue's you will only need a 7-Way RV Upgrade Kit for Trailer Brake Controller Installation # ETBC7L for each vehicle. This will provide you with the 7-way that connects to your 4-way and has the wiring for running power to the 7-way charge line.
The Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller # C51180 works differently from other brake controllers. It is powered by the charge line on the 7-way circuit. It uses the input from the brake/turn signal wires on the circuit to tell the brakes when to apply so there is no need to tie into the brake switch on your Vue.
