Air Bag Suspension System Options and Rear View Camera for a 2017 Toyota Sienna
Question:
If Air Lift has 1000 lb. of support, does that mean more than 1000 lb. will be a problem for those air bags? I read a few comments that the Firestone option might be/are better than the Air Lift products. Do you recommend the Air Lift over the Firestone air bags? About the camera system #RVS-778718N, if I don't want to replace the mirror, what would be your next recommendation? Maybe something with a separate monitor? I definitely want something that will give me a constant stream of the view behind.

I would be happy to answer those questions for you. The Air Lift 1000 Air Helper Springs for Coil Springs item # AL60732 provide 1,000 lbs of support. Anything over that maxes out the system and it won't work as well. It is recommended not to exceed this capacity. The Firestone Coil-Rite Air Helper Springs item # F4155 is a nearly identical kit with the exception of the valves. With cost and availability being practically identical I would choose the Firestone kit over the Air Lift because of the better valve system. They both have the 1,000 lbs load leveling capacity.
I like Air Lift's compressors over Firestones though for reliability and remote access. I recommend the Air Lift WirelessAIR Compressor System for Air Helper Springs item # AL74000EZ. Air Lift's premium, wireless, onboard compressor system with Bluetooth allows you to fill your air springs at the touch of a button.
If you don't want to replace your rear view mirror like the item # RVS-778718N system requires then you will want to use the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System item # RVS-770613-NM. I highly recommend a hardwired application over a wireless one for a constant stream. There is a slight delay in wireless rear view cameras. This system includes a separate monitor you can mount conveniently on your dash or console.
