Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 1997 Ford F-250 with B and W Gooseneck Installed
Published 05/25/2022 >
Question:
Hi the RAS3611-HD suspension claims to have a weight limit of 3000#. What is the 3000# limit referring to? The truck has a GVWR of 8800# and a GRAWR of 6084#. I understand that this is not designed to increase payload capacity, but with a 3000# weight limit it doesnt seem it could event handle the truck. Is this 3000# per spring? Or is that 3000# in payload capacity it can help support?

I have a really great suspension enhancement kit that fits your 1997 Ford F-250 with a Turnoverball gooseneck installed but none of the air bag kits fit with your hitch. Instead I would recommend the RoadActive Suspension kit part # RAS3611-HD which does fit and gives better support. It's very easy to install, easy to adjust, and unlike other options actually improves handling and stability. This also means you don't ever have to mess with adjusting air pressure or worry about air leaks.
