Replacement Double Lip Grease Seal For A 2001 Karavan Boat Trailer

Question:

Hi, I have what I believe is a 3500# boat trailer axel. Brand is Karavan. 2001. The inner bearing is an L68149. Outer is L44649. Previous seal was a 472193 with I.D 1.75inch and it leaked. The problem is that the seal surface measures 1.744 or 1.743inch on my digital caliper. Ive been told that no-one has ever heard of a seal surface that measures 1.744inch Do you have any ideas for a double lip seal? Much Appreciated

Based on the information you provided the correct grease seal would be the Spindle Grease Seal Set # BB60002, but since you said you were having leakage with a 1.75 ID seal I recommend going with the Grease Seal - Double Lip # 58846.

It is slightly smaller but should flex enough to fit and prevent the leakage you've been experiencing.
