Question:
I was told I need to activate the app each time I start my car? If I forget breaking system will not work? Do I need internet access to activate system? May be in a remote area where I cant get the internet?

You will need to pair the Curt Echo Under-Dash Trailer Brake Controller - Bluetooth - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional # C27JR for the initial setup but once that is done it will operate on the previous settings even if you didn't have your phone with you. You will want the app to be open for use of the manual override, or if you need to adjust the braking power. This does not require wifi, it uses Bluetooth to connect.
