Question:
Hi There.........I have a 2013 Ford F250 Super Duty, Long bed, Gas engine. I just purchased a Lance 835 camper which is approximately 2200 Ibs. and I will be towing a small two horse stock trailer, total weight with horses is about 4500 Ibs. My question is which would you recommend for my setup , the Timbrens or the Ride Rites, and why ? Thanks,

When choosing between the Timbren # TFR250SDG and Ride-Rite # F2550 rear suspension system for your 2013 Ford F-250, I recommend using the Timbren for a couple of reasons.
The main reason that I would choose the Timbrens over the Ride-Rite is because you have a camper that weighs approximately 2200 lbs and the Ride-Rites handle between 3200 and 5000 lbs. The Timbrens activate whenever a load is encountered and stabilize that load accordingly.
The Timbrens have a 6,000 lb weight capacity whereas the Ride-Rites have a 5,000 lb capacity. With your horse trailer being 4,500 lbs, I would feel more comfortable with you not hitting the capacity limit of the Ride-Rites.
At the end of the day, I would go with the Timbrens because they are reliable, easy to install and economical. If you were hauling something that had side-to-side un-level loads, I would recommend to definitely go with the air springs, but with a camper and horse trailer the Timbrens will work great.
I have attached a brief installation video of the Timbrens on a 2012 Ford F-250. I have also attached FAQ articles covering the Timbren and Firestone systems.
