Question:
I have a SylvanSport Go Easy Essential https://www.sylvansport.com/go-easy-tech-specs/ and I am looking for carriers for a Jackson Kilroy DT tandem that weighs 109lbs and 148 long and 33 inches wide. The trailer has the 79 Thule ProBar crossbars. The configurations I would be using would be either 1TWO of the Kilroy DTs or 2 ONE Kilroy DT and Two bicycles I have looked at several options from your website. I think the saddle style carriers over the J-Style may be easier for my wife and I to handle since they are so heavy but open to your suggestions since it only goes on a trailer vs. having to get them on a rooftop. The saddle ones I reviewed that look like reasonable Options are the Malone MegaWing, Rhino Nautic RR581 and the Yakima Big Catch. There may be others that you think I should consider but these are the ones I found. For the J-Style the etrailer #98878 looks appropriate. I just wonder how easy it will be to get those heavy kayaks on their sides. Also if you have suggestions for the bike carriers that would be very helpful as well. I havent researched those yet. THANK YOU!

Since you are pulling your Kayaks off of a trailer and not a roof rack I would suggest going with a saddle style mount over the J-style. The design of the saddles gives them a bigger surface to put the kayak on, meaning they offer an additional layer of security compared to the J-style types. Same with V-style carriers like the Malone MegaWing item # MPG207 you referenced. The saddle style is a better option.
I recommend the Yakima BigCatch Kayak Carrier item # Y04091 over the Rhino-Rack Nautic 581 Rear Loading Kayak Carrier item # RR581. It looks like your Kilroy DT Kayak weighs 108 lbs. The Yakima BigCatch has a 150 lbs capacity and comes with the necessary support straps to secure your Kayaks.
