Wider Trailer Tire Recommendation to Replace ST175/80-13
Published 04/25/2022 >
Question:
I currently have 175/80-13 tires 5 lug bolt on my boat trailer. There is about 1” space between the inside of the tires and the trailer frame. Is there another tire / wheel combination that would give me better “ floatation” on the sand? I would have very minimal driving on pavement. Thanks

We have the slightly wider trailer tire size 185/80R13 with the part # LHCK105 that would fit on the same wheel you have and would be 10 mm wider. This would be about as wide as I would recommend going with your current frame clearance.
