We can get your 2017 Ford F-350 set up to be flat towed, and you'll need base plates, a tow bar, safety chains, wiring, and a supplemental braking system. I'll go ahead and list out the parts you need:
- Base Plate Kit: Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM-524452-5
- Tow Bar: Roadmaster BlackHawk 2 All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-422
- Safety Cables: Roadmaster 80" Coiled Safety Cables # RM-653
- Wiring Kit: Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles - 7-Wire to 6-Wire Straight Cord # RM-152-98146-7
- Brake Light Relay: Roadmaster Brake-Lite Relay Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-88400
- Supplemental Braking System: Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR
The Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plates are great because they have removable tabs which means your F-350 is going to keep its clean look when you aren't flat towing. For the BlackHawk tow bar, I recommend it because it has a 10,000 lb capacity so it's beefy enough for your F-350, and also has long arms which make it easier to maneuver when towing.
I really like the Flexo-Coil wiring kit because it is designed to prevent any type of electrical feedback, keeping your Maverick's electrical system safe. As for the braking system, the Stay-IN-Play DUO is easily the best because it gives you braking proportional to that of your motorhome. So when you hit the brakes on your motorhome, your truck is going to get the same amount of braking power, resulting in much smoother braking than other systems.
