Question:

Hello, I have a 2003 F-150 Supercrew 4x4 FX4 and use it to tow a 31 foot travel trailer. I am looking to help out with the rear end sag the trucks, not mine and wondered about the differences between these two products the TFR1525HD vs. the TFRTT1525. I wanted to confirm that the HD would be sufficient for my purposes. It sounds like maybe the TFRTT is a bit more stout perhaps too stout? And it would sacrifice regular driving comfort? Thanks! This looks like an awesome product. Im glad I stumbled onto it while searching the net. Otherwise I was looking at replacing my leaf springs and that was going to be a real pain.

Usually when people use the Timbren suspension kits they talk about how great the kits work out for hauling loads or towing but a common complaint is how rough they make the unloaded ride feel so I would go with the 6K # TFR1525HD over the 7K # TFRTT1525 for your 2003 Ford F-150.

With that being said, it is important to note that any suspension enhancement, whether it's the Timbrens or another solution, will not increase the weight capacity of your vehicle and is designed to help support a suspension system that's in good working condition. If you are afraid that your leaf springs are that worn out then the best thing you can do for both your truck and your trailer is to replace the OEM suspension and then add in a suspension enhancement system or better yet, a weight distribution system that will do so much better at leveling out the sag in your pickup (not you) and giving you more control.
