Thanks for all that info, and we can get your trailer set up with electric brakes. You'll need a number of things, including a hub and drum to replace your Dexter 008-258-05 idler hub. I checked with Dexter and that hub uses bearings L44649, so to replace it, the hub/drum and electric brakes you'll need are the following:

- Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly # 8-257-5UC3-EZ

- Dexter Electric Trailer Brake Kit # 23-47-48

These brakes come with the mounting hardware but not the adjustment spoon, so you will need that, the Brake Adjustment Spoon for Drum Brakes # W80630.

You'll also need a junction box and 7-way with 10-gauge brake wire for the electric brakes:

- Junction Box - 7 Terminal # 3375601100

- 7-Way RV Style Connector - Trailer End 6 ' Long # HM20086 or 8' Long # H20046

- Deka Jacketed 2 Wire, 10 Gauge Brake Wire # 10-2-1

The brake wire is sold per foot so just make sure you get enough to run the wire from where you are mounting the junction box to the brake assemblies and you'll be set.
