Published 04/04/2022 >
Question:
hello, i bought Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring - BX8848 to put on my Bronco, but im there is something i dont understand, on a bronco the flashing light is not with the brake as mentioned in your video. I wonder how to install it because for the left side I have a wire for the turn signal, one for the brake. Do you have details for a Bronco. thank you

On vehicles that have separate stoplights from turn signals you can wire up a diode kit like the part # BX8848 still but what you have to do is basically make the stoplights of the vehicle function as both the stop lights and turn signals since that is how the diode kit is wired. Trailer wiring puts these circuits on same wire which is why it's easiest to do diode tow bar wiring the same. Basically your current stoplights will still function as stoplights but they will flash with the blinker too and your current amber vehicle blinker just won't be used.
