Troubleshooting A Brake Light Relay Kit Installation On A 2016 Ram 1500

Question:
I own a 2016 Ram 1500 with adjustable brake pedal and electronic transmission. I have problems hooking up Brake Light Relay #88400. The brake light switch only has three wires and Ive tested all three several times and doesnt show any power. I also checked at roadmasterinc.com and it doesnt have any information on the color of the cold side wire. It also shows that I should be using item 751468 and no mention of the one that was recommended. Need Help

The cold side wire isn't going to have power until the brake pedal is depressed so you'll need to ensure that you're pressing the brake pedal while testing these wires. If you are doing this and still not finding the cold side you can then install a stop light switch kit like the # RM-751000 or one of the custom fit kits I have listed below.
# RM-751461 for vehicles with adjustable brake pedals.
# RM-751468 for vehicles with adjustable brake pedals and an electronic shifter.
These stop light kits will give you the braking signal to tap into to complete your Brake Light Relay Kit # RM-88400 installation.
