Can 235/80-16 Load Range E Tire Be Replaced with Same Size in Load Range G

Question:
Can I replace my RV tires from Goodyear 235/80R/16E to Westlake ST 235/80R Load G. It’s for a 2010 Keystone Raptor Toy Hauler with three axles. Thanks in advance.

Helpful Expert Reply:
A 235/80-16 Load Range E tire typically has a 3520 lb capacity, while the Westlake # WE76FR Load Range G tire you looked at will have a 4080 lb capacity.
You can certainly go with a higher load rated tire if you wish, as long as the combined capacity of the tires exceeds the weight of the trailer and its contents.
