Question:

I have a 2018 Ford F350 2WD Dually and I am looking for rear air bags for towing our 5th wheel camper. I see the ones offered but want to make sure they will work with a dually. Thanks

According to Firestone, their # F2600 Ride-Rite air helper springs are compatible with DRW models of the 2018 Ford F-350. Per Firestone, in order for the air helper spring kit to fit correctly, the distance between the frame member and the inside of the tire sidewall can't be less than 7-1/2 inches.

If you have less clearance than that, you'll want to use the Air Lift # AL57391 which is also compatible with DRW trucks and has no fit prohibitions.

If you have the necessary clearance, I'd recommend going with the Firestone product as the roll crimp they use to attach the air springs to the top and bottom plates is stronger than the band clamp type arrangement that Air Lift uses.

You might also be interested in an on-board compressor system like part # F2610 which would allow you to add or remove air pressure from the system using your smart phone. This would allow you to adjust the pressure while you're on the move to compensate for different loads or road conditions.
