Best Practice to Deal with Chipped Paint on Trailer Hitch

What do you recommend to deal with areas that have chipped paint on the hitch?

If you notice chipped areas on your Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 76020, for your 2018 Mazda CX-9, the best thing to do is lightly sand that area to get it evened out and then paint over it to prevent the rust from spreading. Since hitches are underneath the vehicle where road debris is flying around it's a good practice to routinely check the hitch for any places where it has been hit and needs a touch up.
