2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty Yakima HD Crossbar Length Recommendation for Truck Bed

I have a 2019 F250 super duty. I have a retractable bed cover that is compatible with Yakima accessories. I have regular towers for my rails for bike attachments. I want to buy the HD bars. What size bar do you recommend for my bed? 68” or 78” ? Do you have any videos or photos that show my truck with these bars over the bed? Thank you

I recommend going with the 78" Yakima HD Crossbars # Y01159 for your application. These will be a bit longer than the width of your bed so you you'll have enough room to fit it with your towers. If you already have the towers that fit directly to your retractable tonneau cover then don't forget to pick up the HD Bar SL Adapter Kit # Y03541 so the HD bars will fit the Yakima towers you have.
We haven't had a chance to install this on a 2019 Ford F-250 as of yet (March 2022) but I did install the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack # Y01151-58 with the 68" HD bars on a 2020 F-250 that I'm linking for you to check out. This has the ladder rack towers but it will give you a good idea of how wide the 68" bars will be compared to your truck. Since the towers sit further out than the legs of the ladder rack you'll want the longer bars.
