MORryde Suspension Kit, Shackle Straps & SumoSprings For 6k Axles w/ 35 Wheelbase

I have a 2019 forest river 2916-g toy hauler, 2 6000lb. Axles and I want to upgrade the suspension with this product and the cross piece, the heavy duty shackle bolt upgrade and the SUMO springs for the 5000-7000 axles. Will this MORryde product work with my trailer 35 inch between the center hubs and will all the upgrade products work together to provide a smoother suspension system and noticeable towing experience improvement? Thanks for your help, its a lot of money to spend and I want to get it right the first time.

I certainly don't blame you for wanting to get it right the first time, and the answer to each of your questions is yes, it will all work together, though there are a couple of things you'll want to be certain to verify. But first, for the equalizer upgrade and crossbeam, for your 35" wheelbase (which you measured correctly from center to center of your wheels) you do have the correct part for your 6k axles:
- MORryde AllTrek 4000 Equalizers for Tandem Axle Trailers # MR29DR
With that, you will want to make sure you get the right suspension upgrade kit, which is going to depend on the length of your shackle straps. You will want to measure yours from center to center for the correct replacement; your shackle straps may not be an exact match, so go with the closest option:
- 2-1/4" Long Shackle Straps: MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers # MR46ZR
- 3-1/8" Long Shackle Straps: MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Tandem Axle Trailers # MR76ZR
As for the SumoSprings, this will be much easier, but there is still something you want to verify. All you have to do is take a look at where your leaf springs are on your axle. Your leaf springs will either be underneath your axle (which is more likely and called "underslung") or above your axle (which is called "overslung"). Depending on that, here is what you'll need:
- Underslung (leaf springs under axle): SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # SS33HR
- Overslung (leaf springs above axle): SumoSprings Trailer Helper Springs # SS26MV
The SumoSprings are for a single axle application, so you'll want to be sure you get a pair for a tandem axle trailer.
