Question:
Good afternoon. I was going to purchase the product below but all of the Bluetooth break controllers state “without factory trailer package installed.” Do all 2022 MBZ GLEs come with a break controller built in or is this product not comparable if the MBZ GLE has a factory trailer package installed? Curt Echo Under-Dash Trailer Brake Controller - Bluetooth - 1 to 4 Axles - Proportional Item # C27JR

Helpful Expert Reply:
I do have an option for you though the Curt Echo Under-Dash Trailer Brake Controller part # C27JR will require splicing if you want to install it on a 2022 Mercedes-Benz GLE. Instead, I recommend the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller part # C51180 which will be plug-in-play. It doesn't matter if you have tow package or not, you just need a seven way trailer connector for this controller to work.
