Troubleshooting B&W Companion Slider No Longer Slides

Question:
Any recommendation on how to get my BandW Companion 20K slider sliding again? Purchased from etrailer in 2018. Great hitch but no longer slides. Just spray a bunch of WD 40 on it and hope? Thanks,

Expert Reply:
If the B&W Companion Slider # BWRVK3400 has been sitting for a while or it's just been harder to slide then clean the rails and apply some white lithium grease like part # L11354. If you are still having trouble sliding the hitch locate the 4 Allen head bolts on each side of the carriage (for a total of 8) and loosen the top 2 on each side about 1/4 turn. This will release some of the pressure of the carriage on the rails and will make it easier to move. I confirmed all of this with my contact at B&W.
