The correct base plate kit for your 2009 Chevy Malibu LTZ is the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit, item # 523145-5, and can be used with most standard tow bars.
Along with your base plate kit you may need wiring for your vehicle and this can be accomplished with a Tail Light Isolating Diode System with Wiring Harness, item # 38955, or a RoadMaster Tail Light Wiring Kit with Bulbs, item # RM-155, or a set of Magnetic Towing Lights, item # RM-2120.
