How To Find the Correct Trailer Hitch Extender for Bike Rack to Clear Spare Tire
Updated 02/01/2022 | Published 01/31/2022 >
Question:
I’ve recently purchased a 2022 Land Rover Defende 110. The vehicle has a rear spare tire mounted on the back door. I also have a Kuat 2.0 base bike rack. What hitch extender do you recommend to make the best setup work the best. Thanks,

Helpful Expert Reply:
The best way to find the correct trailer hitch extender is to measure the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole out to the further point on the vehicle such as the outside of the spare tire. This will then let you know how long of an extension you need to look for. The Hitch Extender for 2" Trailer Hitches part # e88YR for example measures 8" from each hitch pin hole but I have attached out full list below in case this one will not work.
