How To Find Correct Replacement Leaf Springs for Grand Design Momentum 351M

Question:

We just purchased a used 2021 Grand Design Momentum 351M toy hauler. This unit was used very little. I have read many stories about springs breaking during a trip on this toy hauler. As I carry a 2016 Harley Davidson Trike in the garage of this toy hauler would it be advisable to add these to my unit now before I have an issue? Should I also upgrade the leaf springs to 4,000 lb springs as many have done? Trying to be proactive rather than reactive. Thanks

I don't have information specific to this trailer about leaf spring durability so about the only thing we can really help with here is getting you setup with the info you need to choose the correct replacements. The first bit of info you need to obtain is the axle capacity from the axle tag on the center of the beam. Then you will need to jack the trailer up in the air and measure the leaf springs from eye to eye. Once you have this info you can then filter through our leaf spring selection attached below. The 4-Leaf Double-Eye Spring part # e64SR for example is for 4,000 lb axles and measures 26" long.

Please note, trailer leaf springs will flatten over time as they wear.
