Question:

how to measure the leaf spring. Mine on my trailer is 24inch center of eye to eye. 3 leafs high.

It sounds like you may have the 3-Leaf Double-Eye Spring # e59SR on your trailer. This spring is 23-1/8" long from eye center to eye center when fully relaxed and has 3 leaves. As a leaf spring is loaded with weight it will get longer and overtime as it loses its curve it will measure to a longer length. You can follow the curve of the leaf spring from the center bolt in the leaf spring for a measurement of 12-7/16". This leaf spring is rated for a 3,500lb trailer axle. Do remember that leaf springs should always be installed in pairs.
