Difference Between 20 mm and 13 mm Thule Replacement SpeedLink Mounting Hardware

Question:

Can you please tell me the difference between the Thule 13 mm Speed Link Mounting Hardware and the 22 mm Speed Link Mounting Hardware? I ask because I am seeking a replacement speed link hardware assembly for an older Thule Universal 6 ski slide out ski rack purchased around 2013/2014. Thules website does not list the replacement part, but a trip to my local ski store where I purchased the rack and who kindly gave me what appeared to be a perfect replacement assembly suggests the newer speed link hardware uses a shorter screw to mount the assembly to the ski rack. If I can determine whether the 22mm hardware vs. the 13 mm hardward refers to the length of the screw then perhaps I now know what I need. Thule does not seem to offer a 22mm hardware assembly, and I cannot otherwise determine if there is a replacement available. Thanks so much for any assistance you can provide. Kind regards

I reached out to Thule and found that the difference between the Replacement 20 mm SpeedLink Mounting Hardware Assembly for Thule SnowPack Ski and Snowboard Carrier # 7521241002 and the 13 mm # 7521241001 is the length of that center bolt/screw. You will need to measure your existing bolt in order to find which of these matches what you have and choose the correct replacement.

They also said that from 2011 to 2016 a lot of the models used a rivet instead of the bolt. If that is the case you would need to replace the entire carrier. I have attached a link to all of our 6 ski carriers that you can check out.
