Can The MaxxAir MaxxFan Deluxe Lid Be Open While The Fan Is Off
Updated 01/10/2022 | Published 01/08/2022 >
Question:
Theres a comment in the coninch section: Want to open your lid on a nice day without having to power the fan – the lid and fan are powered together Does this imply that the fan blades will have to be spinning some any time the lid is open or just that the fan needs access to power to stay open? I would resume the fan blades can be off with the lid open if the thermostat is working or does the lid close itself any time the blades stop moving?. Using this as a fresh air vent regardless of fan is something im looking for, but prefer the model with the remote for its display. Thanks

The fan and lid of the MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan, Thermostat, and Remote # MA00-07000K are powered together so if you turn off the fan the lid will close. You will however be able to manually open the lid using the knob. I've attached a video below where you can see Robert using the knob to manually open the lid.
