Recommended Air Helper Springs for 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4

Looking for airbag setup for a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 4-Door 4x4. What all do I need? Thanks

Both AirLift and Firestone offer air helper spring options for your 2002 Ram 1500 4x4, but the right kit for you will depend on how you use your truck.

Firestone uses a superior design on their air bags, utilizing a roll crimp to join the upper and lower plates to the air bag. This is a more durable connection than the band clamp arrangement used by AirLift, in my opinion.

The Firestone # F2286 would be an excellent choice, but if you have an in bed gooseneck or 5th wheel hitch, or plan on installing one in the future, the Firestone option wouldn't be compatible.

If you currently have, or plan on installing an in bed hitch in the future, the AirLift # AL57230 is what I'd recommend, because it's compatible with in-bed hitches.

The AirLift # AL25980EZ Wireless ONE compressor system you'd looked at would work well with either system mentioned above.
