For a great hitch for your 2022 Toyota Carolla sedan, I recommend the Curt Hitch - 1-1/4" # C34UR. Not only does this hitch provide you with 200 pounds of tongue weight and 2,000 pounds of gross towing weight, the Curt comes with a gloss outer coating over the base powder coat that gives you superior rust and corrosion resistance. It is also assembled here in the U.S.A.
As far as the cargo carrier, I recommend the 20x47 Reese Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" Hitches - Steel # 63155. The reason why this carrier is a great choice is because it has a long shank (11 inches from the center of the pinhole to the closest part of the carrier) and includes a 3-inch additional rise for extra ground clearance. If you need a cargo net to secure you cargo, the Curt Stretchable Cargo Net - 43" Long x 24" Wide # C18202 works great with the Reese carrier.
