Does Swagman Roamer Roof Rack Hardware Go All the Way Through a Pop-Up Camper Roof

Question:

We own a Jayco 8U Qwest pop up camper and my husband is concerned about drilling the holes through the top of the camper to attach the S80510. Do the holes go completely through to the inside of the camper roof?

First, if your camper has a plastic, 1 piece top then this roof rack should not be used. But most campers have a more sturdy roof than that so should not have a problem with that. The hardware used to secure the rack to the roof is fairly long as there is a good chance that it will go all the way through. However, it attaches at the edge of the roof where the screws should not enter into the actual living space of the camper. The edges of the tops are normally reinforced and the strongest point on the roof to mount anything.
