Question:
I have the round bar version and want to convert to trunnion style. Will the bars still be the proper length if I don’t change the position of the snap up brackets on the trailer frame? What are the part numbers for the bars and just the head? I already have a shank and ball and brackets. Thanks

According to the folks at Reese, when one of their trunnion bar weight distribution systems like the # RP66074 is installed, the center of the snap up brackets would sit about 29-1/2 inches rearward of the center line of the trailer ball, give or take a 1/4 of an inch.
If your current system uses the Reese Heavy Duty round bars, they are the same length as the trunnion bars so your snap up brackets would already be in the correct location. If you have a Pro Series round bar system, those bars were a little shorter, so you'd need to relocate the snap up brackets rearward.
We do offer a replacement Reese weight distribution head that's compatible with trunnion bars as part # RP58167. Replacement trunnion bars are available in the following capacities:
• 800 lb bar, part # RP22225
• 1200 lb bar, part # RP66009
• 1500 lb bar, part # RP58369
• 1700 lb bar, part # 66010
The bars are sold individually in a quantity of 1, so you'll need to order a pair. The chain kit is available separately as part # 3216.
