What Causes Baby Moon Trailer Wheel Center Caps To Fall Off

Question:

I have a 2020 Vintage cruiser and have lost 5 hubcaps in the year and a half of ownership. Is there a trick to keeping them on? I would like to order replacements but not if they are gonna keep flying off.

The Americana Baby Moon Trailer Wheel Center Cap part # AM90086 is held in place with friction on the wheel. I don't typically hear of them falling off often during transit but if you continue to lose them from one particular wheel, it could be that the tolerances of the keeper on the wheel is not within spec so you would need to replace that wheel. If you lose them for all wheels at random then the suspension could just be stiff and the wheels are absorbing more shock than normal. In which case, I would try to use some sort of bonding material around the inside of the cap where it mounts such as a thin layer of electrical tape to see if that help.
