I just bought a Curt Echo brake controller and I need to have a 7-way installed on my Subaru Outback wagon so I can use it. What parts do I need? My car only has the flat connector.

You're going to need the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires item # ETBC7L. The kit includes a pre-wired 7- and 4-way trailer connector that mounts easily at the rear of your vehicle with an included bracket. This kit is designed for use on a vehicle with an existing 4-way flat trailer connector and plugs directly into it. The kit allows you to use a trailer brake controller that pulls power from your trailer connector instead of wiring into your vehicle. This part works perfectly with the Curt Echo Wireless Trailer Brake Controller item # C51180. I have linked an installation video.
